usfws_pic1/3/12 -US FWS awards $1 million dollar grant to protect Pleasure House Point - Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced 20.5 million dollars in grants to conserve and restore coastal wetlands and their fish and wildlife habitat in some 13 states, including 1 million that has been allocated to the acquisition of  82 acres of the Pleasure House Point Property in Virginia Beach.  The grants, awarded under the 2012 National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program, will be matched by nearly $21 million in partner contributions from state and local governments, private landowners and conservation groups.  Press Release - More Info.
